What's new Thursday?
I know it's late...unfortunately in CA we are always three hours behind. I'm trying to get back in gear weightwise. I have been stuck for some time, going up two, down two. I have a big surprise party planned for my husband tomorrow night. It's his 60th birthday- takes my breath away that we are edging up so far into our retirement years. We are babyboomers- we should not ever get old! He hasn't got any idea about this party- he's just oblivious. It should be great fun! His brother is coming all the way from northern Oregon, a 12 hour drive.
Everything else is good here- work is steady and fulfilling. I've been working closely with lots of snotty, dripping children and I haven't caught anything yet this year! (Famous last words-huh?) b
Happy Thursday....

Hello OFF friends!
I have had a busy day at work and now enjoy catching up with all of you. I would really enjoyhaving an OFF directory. I don't hink I am in it, so others probably are not either. Perhaps an update is due?
Margo and anyone else renewing their drivers liscense---If the weight is not what you want, do what I have been doing for many years. When the person asks you if your weight is stil 115lbs (what mine said for years) ask them if they have a scale at the DMV. When they reply that they don't, look them right in the eyes and say "in that case, yes I am". They look shocked, then laugh and leave the number the same. Come on, it was obvious that I wasn't the same weight that I had been at 16.
I just joined Freecycle. I can't believe the good stuff that people are willing to give away just to get rid of it. I love it, even if I don't like the 250 emails a day. I had to switch that quickly so I have to go on the web to see them.
Eileen, I am sorry that you had such a hard time sleeping. It seems that many of us can't sleep. I remember when I was a teenager. I couldn't believe when my mom complained about not sleeping. Nothing could keep me awake. I have trouble going to sleep and then sleep fitfully until about 4AM. Then I hit really good sleep. Unfortunatly, I have to get up at 5:15. Ugh I hate it. Maybe I will sleep better when I can ditch the CPAP. Waiting for my Ambien to come from the mail order pharmacy. I use the Celestial Seasoning sleepytime tea but haven't really noticed a differance yet. I will have to look for the dropper thingys.
Hope everyone had an OK day and Here's wishing you all better sleep.
It has been a pretty good day, trying to get back into my routine after being gone a couple of days to a Convocation.
Working on end of the year reports and I do not like statistics but it is part of my job.
I've been asked to return for another year for my job and that is always a nice feeling. I like it here also and hope to stay about 3 more years if possible. Only assigned one year at a time.
I only gained 1 pound while I was gone and am trying to get the food back on track. Did better today and also got in 30 minutes on treadmill so hope to get rid of that pound plus some more this next week.
Hope you all had a good day. I enjoy reading what you are all doing.
